5. -Two Zero One Four- Part ONE

Howdy people~
How are your holidays going on?

Enjoying your holidays? Stressed out on workloads?
No worries and no fuss, cus Xmas holidays are finally here~

Man, IDK what was I doing. This what Sabahans call "minta puji". (Fishing for attention)
Blehh... Cut off the crap. Just assume that I'm appreciating the mini Frosty right there.
Anyways, the point of posting that picture is to make you picture a picture of Xmas in one picture!
Heck yes! Quad combo! High 5!!

And FYI, it's 11pm now (Malaysia time zone).
Here I am, sipping my cup of hot tea...
Eyes glued on my iPad and my fingers are busy tapping on it. And of course, once in awhile, yc (yingchow)** my nephews.

Glossary: yingchow - reacted randomly without any intention.
I learnt my lesson. NEVER update my blog on my phone.
See what I mean? T________T

It's been awhile since I last updated my blog (mehh, it's only been a week)
I'm keeping up the track of updating an entry per week. To be honest, I really appreciate your feedbacks about my blog. Feel free to drop me a comment~ :D
As usual, my posts will be loaded with much exaggeration and analogies*.
*to avoid controversies
Have fun reading and visualizing!! :)
Today's entry will be a reallyyyyyyyyyy longggggggggg postttttttt.. So, I'll be posting it in 2 parts. :)

-Before I start off my sharing, let us have a moment of silence and prayer for the victims of the horrendous flash flood in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

Moving on,
Recognize this? Yup. It's the current Fb trend.. The Year in Review thingy.

I've seen countless reviews of my fellow  Fb friends and in fact, I viewed my own Year in Review as well.. But mehh.. Mine wasn't that pleasing. T_________________T
Maybe I'm just poop outta luck. My review is like porridge without salt. Meanwhile, my other friends' reviews on Fb are really interesting with an adequate amount of seasoning and flavour.
 Hmm, not sure if I'm too fussy or what...
 (I'm very picky on this. Sorry, Fb team, you guys did a good job on this new feature. But TBH, the themes are kinda bland and the pictures that you've chosen for me are kinda lame)
[People gonna make a long ass beeline to kick my bum on this :P]

So, here you go! Imma make my long ass Two Zero One Four review~
(2014 hasn't officially ended. Well, I can't help seeing other people posting their reviews while I just cry in the corner viewing their interesting reviews) :'D

****As a lazy person like me, I never really write a journal or a diary. But I do "record" the important moments in pictures. [hah! Don't judge me! I know you do this too!]

Let's kick off with January~
Hmm, Idk where to start.
Yeah! It's January!! New Year, New Resolution! Mehh
While all social network posts are filled netizens' "new year resolutions", there's me..
Scrolling up and down, pondering upon so many things...

January was pretty boring month for me.
I was still pursuing my Form 6 education. So, everything was like a continuation of 2013.
Here's what Fb recommended me :

As shameless as I am, I'm showing you what Fb recommended me. :P
So, they've combine both January and February.
Top: Taken on January. These are my Form 6 friends. That's a pretty good photo! These people are precious! My form 6 life is so much more interesting with their existence. :')
Bottom left and right: Photos taken with my friends during Chinese New Year, which was sometime around February. Haha! Fb can be so random in choosing the photos.

So, I had a very clichΓ© school schedule in January, as you can tell. :/

Moving onto February!
Heck yes! February was awesome! It's the month of celebrations and reunions!
CNY was a blast. Had some really great time with my families and friends.
Here is what Fb recommended me:
Fb has really unique taste! These pictures are all the happenings on the first day of CNY. As you can see, they are all taken in one go. :P
I see what you did there, Fb!

Let me further elaborate my February.
-It was my first time wearing the traditional Chinese "qipao" or better known as cheongsam. :)
(Photos above)
-Had great time with my high school friends.. All the chit chats, drinking and games...
Good times. Good times. :D
Yup. I extracted this photo from my Instagrrrrr... My phone is going bonker with all the photos. That's why I transferred them to somewhere..
Gosh, I miss them so so much! Although some of us are thousands of miles apart, we still get to communicate with each other via online. "So close, yet so far"!!! **sniff sniff**

Now who says that modern technology is detrimental to youth?

*Wipes tears*
Moving on to March, April and May!
[Things get a little emotional here. Continue reading or flee. You choose! ]

Back to my normal schedule, where school was my main priority. I had tuition classes on weekdays and weekends. Subsequently, I couldn't really go for shooting. How sad is life without archery. T.T
Term 2 was way more busy than Term 1.
I spent most of my afternoons snoozing.
And yeah. That's the most I can recall for what I did in March.

April was more or less the same but with a little Zing~
-Had my 19th birthday.
It was a Wednesday, where I had Biology and Math test. That was the best bday gift ever! :'D
(It was a week of hell.. So many tests in one week....)
I was so touched when my classmates sang me a birthday song out of the blue. The whole class were like zombies that day and they still did it. I blushed for awhile and I can't deny it. :P
I also went out with some dearly friends in the afternoon to celebrate my bday. Hah! Had a great time with them.
Overall, I'm really grateful for all who wished me. Thank youuuu! Whoa..
Sometimes I kinda hate birthdays. Reminds me of how old am I and how heavy are my shoulders to carry all the responsibilities. Man, how I wish I can be 18 forever... As the Chinese saying goes...
"18岁bokbok脆"

-Applied for IPG while I was still in Form 6.
Things get a little emotional and controversial here. I shall post it in my next entry. :/
.
.
.
May was a like a roller coaster ride!
>May was a busy busy busy month! With my Term 2 STPM exam coming ahead, it's no surprise I was flooded with tests every single week. No I'm not exaggerating here. I had tests every single week. -.-
>I've gone through the different phases of getting into IPG.
Pertaining to the mehh physical test and interview..
>Sat for my Term 2 STPM
>Got a fugly random mole on my lower lip. Idk how it got pigmentation over there.

So that was March, April and May in a nutshell. :/

Still here?
Well, life is not always that interesting if you don't do anything to change it.
If I were to represent my first half of the year in a graph form, it would be in an increasing motion from Jan to Feb, major downfall on March and it reaches a plateau for the rest of the months... :/
No wonder Fb didn't recommend anything related these 3 months.

Phewwww! I gotta admit that I got a little emotional while updating the first half of the year.
Here is something for you to snack on as a reward for still being here! 😘😘
Hah! This is random.

Oh well, the following months are much more colourful~

Let's begin with June!
It's the month of transformation! The graph suddenly rose to a few degrees as I finally got out of my misery.
As some of you may have known, I changed my education environment.
I hesitated a little at first, wondering if my decision was right.
The new study environment was really different from the previous one. And the biggest difference was that I had to leave my hometown...
Was so heavy hearted to leave all my precious things and people behind..
My family and friends~
(My bed, water heater, washing machine, kitchen utensils, the fridge, my car) T____T

But there's a silver lining beneath all these.
I've learnt a lot about self management after leaving home. :)
And I got to know many people of different walks of life.

Apparently, I'm the oldest in my class(by legit date of birth) (Woohoo! Taikajie!)
And no, that didn't made me the black sheep of the class.
In fact, all the sheeps work very well together to avoid from being caught by wolves.

So, June is the month of transformation while July is the month of adaptation~
There you have it. Adaptation is the perfect word to describe July. :)

~Life is always full of different flavours.
It depends on how you season it with different seasonings and spices to make it flavourful.
How boring can life be if it's only filled with sweetness. A little bit or tartness and bittersweetness is wayyyyyyyyy better.

More to come in the next entry~

4. Keeping it on Holidays mood~

Happy holidays to all "schoolers"!
Well, except for certain uni students.

I consider myself as a "schooler" as well although my age is fast approaching 20. :'D

~Prologue~
Please embrace my sarcasm and exaggeration. Although I may sound quite immature here. But hey! Immaturity keeps me young!

 I had neglected my Huggies and Piggies for more than 5 days!! >.< 😱😱
 I apologize for my negligence and my inability to give my commitment on blogging. :') Oh well, blame it all on me for my laziness to stare 24/7 on my phone/laptop.

So, holidays are here and here are my resolutions:

1) Fix my hair! -.-

2) Clean up my room/house! [checked]

3) **Practise my driving! [I do get very rusty with driving manual cars. So yeah. I drove my unbiological Biaojia (a friend of mine) all the way to Mile 4 on the terrible road with $&@€£¥ traffic]

•Grammar Nazis, do your job!
Practise or practice?
- Practise > verb
- Practice > noun

4) Lose a few kilos! Gotta shed that jelly belly!

5) Spend quality time with my little nephews and niece 😘😘😍😍
Oh how darling~ :'D

6) Sleep early and wake up early. WHAT?!
Old habits die hard. X.x πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

7) Constantly keeping track on my games. Am holding the responsibility of having 2 COC accounts. WHAT?!
|
|
|

There you have it! Let's start with ONE!
Yeah. I recently got my hair treated after several months of painful endurance. (I have serious hairfall problem)
**Ehh, I admit I exaggerated a little on that extent of "painful" endurance. :P But yes, I was very frustrated with my hair's condition considering I was away from home for a few months, without proper haircare. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
This was how I looked like the night before my treatment. **that length tho.. And that frizzy top tho..**
Much lighter and less annoying now.
@.@
Hair, checked!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. Clean ups? Yeah. Checked.
Well, except for moving the set of rusty and dusty drum set to the store. -.-
That's too much labour, so I'll leave that job to my bros πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘
3. It's on the top. Scroll up up up ☝️☝️
4. Am always working on that. I did see some results from the past 5/6 months. Holidays? Hmm, It's tough to resist Madam Gorgeous Chang's cooking and all the bakings that I do.
Madam Pretty Chang's fish maw dessert soup with goji berries, red dates, sweet brown dates, mandarin peel, Chinese almonds and rock sugar.
A nutiritious dessert with a blast of collagen! Yumm! 😍😍😍
Tiramisu by me and Madam Chang :D
**Added some kick with my mate, Johnny Black (JW Black Label)
***Coffee +whiskey are not children-friendly at all.
Such great self-discipline training :'D
 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Moving on,
5. Nothing beats spending quality time with my little angels. :')
Although sometimes they may challenge my patience to the max, I still enjoy babysitting them as they inspire me in many ways.
Not to forget my older nephews and nieces. You darlings have reminded me of how old am I and how heavy is my shoulder to be a better young adult**
 I wish you darlings the best in everything and you will blossom beautifully in your teen years.
Don't let the devils engulf you in your teen life!! With the advancement of technology, this really concerns me. :'|
加油 加油!(Cheers! All the best!)
My precious baby boys.
My witty little baby girl.
Say Hi to my cuzzy's baby! Another nephew of mine. :)
More babies to come!! Yeah!
Thank you, kiddos! Yiyi/Gugu (Aunty) love you!! 😘😘
#Please be good boys and girl. Don't be so fussy with your choice of food AND DON'T STEAL MY FOOD! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
6. Oh well, I really hate this.
Sleep early? Wake up early? Mehh...
"ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS"
Gotta practise what I preach!
Gotta put my words into actions!
Gotta be a good role model to my nephews!
Good luck to me though πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
*there was once where I watched TV drama till 4/5am* cough* cough*
Ok ignore this. Let's move on to....
7. First of all, I apologize to all my clan mates for my incompetence in the game.
Told ya, I really suck in this. What's more when nobody's here to kick my ass. >.<
 πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
And hah! Told you not to touch anything! Now you're left with an incompetent, lazy but* strong clan mate. !@.@!πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
I shall extend my entry today for I have not posted anything last week. So, here are some pictures of me killing time with pleasure and leisure~
Played badminton with Le Bros.. Gosh.. We're getting old.
And I miss my college mates dearly. T__TπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Never really liked to keep long nails.
 But hey! My cuzzy bought me a set of artificial nails and yes, I did something magic with it!
But ehh, they didn't last long on my fingers.
Extremly long and bedazzled nails? **doesn't sound good to me tho. They're cute, but I don't have the heart to keep them for a long term**
**Chinese banshee enough?
**cough **cough
Trying on 旗蒍 (cheongsam/qipao)
Red ey?
Santa Rina enough?
Hah! One of my favourite things to do.
Hmm, bet every XX does. Not sure about XYs tho..
**pls excuse my shameless action for posting these photos online. Note that this is a sharing blog :)
Say Hi to grandpappy Lim!
My grandpappy looks so cute with that hat!
*pls excuse my shameless outfit tho*
I smell Xmas which is just around the corner!! Do you?
Yup. I set up this Xmas tree with my sis and nephews just right after I touched down KL. We're all pumped up for Xmas!! πŸŽ„πŸŽ„
**that CNY deco tho... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚"
BOOOOOOOOOOOKS! Two trolleys full of tree fibers. Heck yes!
Visited Big Bad Wolf book fair with my sis, bro-in-law and nephews.
NOT a bookworm? This place is for you! :P
Oh well, that's basically what I wanted to share for this entry. More to come!
Enjoy reading, people~
P/s, can you see the emoji that I use? I normally update my blog with my phone. I really love using the cute emojis to express my words. Would be great if you can see it. Oh well, once again, enjoy reading~
3. HoliSaturday~
Pleasant Saturday everyone!
Judging by the title, you must have thought I'm behaving like a saint today. Nope! It's just Holiday + Saturday...it's random. Yes. I know -.-
So yesterday was apparently "Black Friday". Why is that so? Who declared it and why is that remark all over the internet?! Oh well, I had a great day yesterday and I learnt a new song! It's Canon D (slow version). Yes.. Yes.. I know it's so easy for most of you music genius out there but for a music dumbass like me, it's such a huge accomplishment!! :'D
Ahh, so, yesterday was "Black Friday".. So I guess today shall be a Grey Saturday since Sandakan's weather is having PMS again. Currently, everything is having the 'after effect' of Black Friday.
So, I stayed up late last night to watch Running Man. But I didn't pay much attention in wAtching RM, instead, I was watching Nigahiga's YouTube videos on my iPad. It's funny how I purposely stayed up late just to watch these videos where I can watch any other time.. Anyways, I had a great laugh! So, it's worth it, I guess? Aaaaaaand, I read a few chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. (Can somebody tell me why is it "Philosopher's stone" in the book while it's "sorcerer's stone" in the movie?) what kind of sorcery is this?!
What's the worst thing of sleeping late? Damn.. It's waking up late! I feel so lazy today to do anything.. Plus, the weather is having PMS.. Uurgghhh
~Plot twist~
I have a sudden desire to bake today. Not sure where that feeling came from. But hey! Sounds like a good idea!
So, I baked some Apple+Dates+Raisins muffins.
Tadaaa..
Hmm, I love it how it's not overly sweet and it's so moist and full of texture!
And I also made some toast with tomatoes and leftover loaf bread. This toast is inspired by Laura Vitale's tomato pizza. Haha.. So I indirectly made some mini pizzas :P
So easy to make and so yummy and light!
Just bread, garlic(to rub on it), sweet red cherry tomatoes, dried oregano, EVOO and cheese slices. BAM! You have a meal! (Minus the protein tho)
Guess Imma have to wrap for today's entry for now~
Hell yes! Imma shoot a few arrows later in the afternoon! :D
Bye bye for now!
1. Bonding time
It's the holidays but I ain't gonna waste my time doing nothing!
So I started up my blog this morning and had a quality time with my baby niece at home. Apparently, my mom is assigned to take care of this little angel(😈😈) for today.
Kids can be so unpredictable. She's a little unwell today, which concerns me. A minor sneeze and a little cough can be so distressing 😰😰
Oh well, she's as playful and as naughty as always.(which is a good sign)
Kids can be a little angel for a second and a little devil for the next minute 😩😩
Nevertheless, I had a great bonding time with my baby niece. We have a lot in common, according to my mom.
Firstly, we both look very much alike!
Secondly, we're both very cunning and witty at that young age.
Thirdly, we both have a sweet tooth 🍑🍑🍫🍫
Baby: gugu(in reference to Aunty), can I eat sweets? A small bite will do!
Me: No, baby. Doctor says you must take your medication and stay away from sweet and cold snacks.
Baby: Do I have to take my medication now? Do I need to pump?(inhaler)
Me: Nope. You are well now. You don't have to pump.
Baby: Okay. I'm well. Can I eat sweets?
Me: **faints**
You see.. Kids can be so witty sometimes. πŸ˜†πŸ˜†  They're so naive and innocnent! To the extent they don't know how to differentiate what's consider "okay" to us and what's not "okay".
Children are like a piece of white cloth. It all depends on us adults to colour it. Afterall, we all had been children before. With great guidance and the teachings, they'll grow up well. πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
Le baby "playing piano"..
She's watching a 4 years old prodigy playing piano in Awe. Oh btw, that's my mom's signature Moo Cow hairstyle. #SayYesToDoublePonyTail
To wrap the entry up,
Lord, I plead you to have mercy on me and grant me a strong heart to endure this! I need to remind myself that I have the responsibility to take care of children as well as to instill them with great values.
Cheers!
Hello earthlings~
This is my first ever Blogger post. I never really thought of the idea of creating my very own blog as I don't have the commitment of updating stuff on the Internet (pertaining to updating my social network accounts 24/7)
Nevertheless, I'd try to update this blog often!
Oh well, lemme do a very brief intro of myself.
My name is Hazel Chang. Judging by my surname, Yes. I'm a Chinese that hails from Malaysia and I can speak fluently in at least 3 languages. (Am proud of that yaw!) Namely English, Malay and Chinese (am fluent in 3 Chinese dialects; Hakka, Mandarin and Canto) Am constantly trying to brush up my Tamil and Korean through my friends and movies and dramas...
My 5"2 figure allows me to do many stuff in my life and I would like to share my experiences verbally via the Internet.
Oh yes, note that today's date is 27th of November 2014 and that marks my 19 years, 8 months and 18 days old of age.
> I love doing sports and other activities that trigger my adrenaline rush. I have to admit that I love to do activities that trigger my sweat glands as well.. uhh... This may sound weird but I really do! I feel very comfortable after a good 5km run or a 2 hours badminton sesh with my friends.
 I enjoy writing long ass essay length articles as I really appreciate the beauty of life and would like to use my magic to express it via the multi-languages.
Some people might find this funny..
Truth to be told, I enjoy baking and cooking very much! I would have taken culinary arts course in college if I were to have another choice! I love serving my masterpieces (food :D) to the people that I love and cherish. Money can't buy that feeling when someone really appreciates your creation. :'D
Eating clean is a part of my life. I feel guilty by stuffing unhealthy and greasy stuff into my poor baby stomach. (o.0)
 l
 l
 l
Nehhh! I love to eat many kinds of foods... Ranging from the mouth watering braised pork to jiggly bamboo wormies keropok (or better known as crackers or snacks).
I also enjoy spending my time around kids. And NO, that doesn't make me sound like a pedophile. People should get this right. Cut down the dose of exaggeration. Pedophilia is a serious business and should NOT be a laughing matter. (Kencang joo!) <<(Typical Sabahan slang which means "Woah, what's with the fuss!)
Well, it's no surprise for me to enjoy my time of bonding with children as I have 3 beautiful nephews and niece. (hah! My older siblings and I have very huge age gaps)
What triggers me to start up a blog?
Well, I'm having my college's year-end break. So, I'll most probably be staring at my computer 24/7 or most of the time. Well, admit it..
 Teenagers + high tech gadget = Life. (well, I do have better things in life but, this is part of it)
Honestly saying, I love reading blogs related to food, high tech gadgets, life, health, social issues and issues regarding the nation (Nerdy alert! :P)
Guess that's a very brief intro to my Blog~ Stay tuned for more! :D
 P/s, note that I will post many things that are related about food, sports, health and my daily experiences, Cheers! :*
